Hello Beautiful Ladies!!! You Can Be Mindful From Anywhere.

You have "zoomed" with me and now you get to "blog with me." Our zoom meetings provide an opportunity to experience "Mindful Mondays" every second and fourth Monday. If you missed them, you can listen or download them here. For my followers who like to read versus listening or both, this is for you. Please, read on.

The Desires Of My Heart

The divine call to empower women with tangible tools to transform their lives by developing and nurturing their divine talents and gifts is the desire of the Father's heart for my life. Providing women with the skills needed to live a life of wholeness, lifting each other up one set of wings at a time.

Wings? I will explain in just a bit. We provide women with the essential skills to be successful while promoting physical, spiritual, and mental well-being.  It is the Father's mission and my hope and mission to create a community that opens doors where there are no limits to how high one can fly.

Where It All Began

Minding Your Mind was birthed in the midst of TRANSITION! Yes, the transition can be very uncertain, but it’s necessary for TRANSFORMATION! Before a caterpillar is transformed into a beautiful butterfly, it must first transition out of the cocoon. At times I’m sure the cocoon was dark, not very spacious, a bit scary, and possibly painful. However, the cocoon wasn’t meant to destroy the caterpillar, it is a place of GROWTH and TRANSFORMATION.

I could imagine there were probably days when the caterpillar said “You know what, I don’t have to become a butterfly. I’m fine being a caterpillar. Who needs to be stuck in a cocoon.” Could that be us? Talking ourselves out of our purpose. Listening to that voice of doubt, which is rooted in fear of the unknown. This is why MINDING YOUR MIND is so important.

Romans 12:2 says “Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is. His good, pleasing, and perfect will.”

The Transformation Happens

Your mind is the place where decisions are made. If your mind is consumed with doubt, fear, unforgiveness, bitterness, or negativity (to name a few) then your decisions will be a reflection of those “mind thieves.” Which will then rob you of your God-given purpose.

Just think of how many butterflies would be lost if the caterpillar wasn’t willing to go through the stages of transformation, they would never live out their purpose.

Butterflies are not only created to make the world a prettier place, but they also carry pollen from plant to plant, helping fruits, vegetables, and flowers to produce new seeds. Did you catch that? Butterflies are important for plant reproduction!

The Cost Would Be Too Great

On the road of purpose, the side view mirror is to ensure that you stay in your lane, nothing gets too close, and not to focus on what you have passed through. Yes, of course, glance back at your survivals. However, the drama, the challenges, and the pain of your past can cause you to take your eyes off of the divine road of purpose that's ahead of you. Focusing on what is behind you - could cause you to crash!

I DON’T WANT TO LOSE YOU! You are IMPORTANT! You deserve to spread your wings and SOAR into your purpose. We not only want to see those beautiful wings, but we also want to benefit from your REPRODUCTION (the process or producing purpose)! That’s why I’m here to crawl, walk, or run with you on this journey. It’s not how we get there - it’s that we make it there! My prayer is that we will all walk in our God-Given purpose and not get stuck in the cocoon of life! Let’s ZOOM into our purpose! Let's BLOG into our purpose.

In conclusion, let me take this opportunity to say THANK YOU! Thank you for allowing me on your journey. I would love to hear from you! Email me and let me know how you take inventory of your mind this month. What are you feeding your mind?

Until we blog again,

Michelle Davey, MSW, LCSW-C Founder of Our Wings of Hope, LLC
