I AM A VOICE . . .

The Voice of Destiny is calling.

My beloved, it’s been a few weeks since we’ve last spoken. I know you’ve had a lot going on in your life and you’re just TIRED. Tired of always trying to “figure it out.” Tired of the grind. Tired of being responsible for everyone and everything. Tired of your phone ringing with yet another demand for your time. Tired of hearing that you’re the strong one and you can handle it.

But is that why you’re really tired?

Sit down for a minute and catch your breath (close your eyes and take two deep breaths – three if you need to). Can you hear that voice again . . . that soft, still voice that always seems to

show up at a time when you’re trying to put the pieces together yourself. It’s the Voice of Destiny!

I think she’s been trying to get your attention for a while. But, like me, maybe you’ve been too busy looking for her in all the wrong places and faces. Or maybe you were busy living someone else’s dream for your life. Or maybe you’ve just been too scared to walk into the unknown. (Keep your eyes closed and imagine the little girl you - What did she dream about?) As you open your eyes, I want you to think about those dreams and then look around you, is that the life you see?

Could that be why Destiny is calling . . . To remind you of those dreams you had as a little girl. Dreams to write a book, dreams to be a teacher, dreams to have your own business, dreams to be a stay-at-home mom, dreams to live close to the water, dreams to teach dance classes, dreams to . . . . (you fill in the blank).

Destiny wants you to know that you may have forgotten those dreams, but she hasn’t. That’s why you’re tired. Tired of living a life without your dreams. Whatever that dream is for you, the voice of Destiny is here to remind you that it’s not too late. You know what’s great about Destiny, she doesn’t function from a 24-hour clock so it’s never too soon or too late to embrace her. She's waiting for you. So I guess the question now is,

Will you be the little girl with the big dreams, or the woman who lives out her destiny?
